Cultural Assets Related to the Imjin War (Japanese invasions of Korea 1592-1598)

  • Various weapons related to the Imjin War including the Cheonja, Jija, Hyeonja, and Hwangja Chongtong guns and mortars
  • Cultural assets that can be classified under various themes related to the Imjin War and shed light on the reorganization of East Asian society and cultural exchange after the war

A wide range of cultural assets dating from the Neolithic Age to the Joseon Dynasty such as the Earthenware Horn Cup with Wagon Wheel Decoration (Treasure No. 637) and Celadon Prunus Vase with Inlaid Plum, Bamboo, and Crane Design (Treasure No. 1168)

Cultural assets donated by Duam Kim Yongdu

Duam Kim Yongdu made an independent effort to collect a wide variety of cultural assets that had been leaked abroad and donated them after returning to engea. The items that have been donated are vastly diverse in terms of type and time period, and they include earthenware, ceramics, paintings, handwritten works, handicrafts and more
